Copper-Catalyzed Decarboxylative Trifluoromethylation of Propargyl Bromodifluoroacetates.

The development of efficient methods for accessing fluorinated functional groups is desirable. Herein, we report a two-step method that utilizes catalytic Cu for the decarboxylative trifluoromethylation of propargyl bromodifluoroacetates. This protocol affords a mixture of propargyl trifluoromethanes and trifluoromethyl allenes.

Copper-catalyzed selective hydroamination reactions of alkynes

The development of selective reactions that utilize easily available and abundant precursors for the efficient synthesis of amines is a longstanding goal of chemical research. Despite the centrality of amines in a number of important research areas, including medicinal chemistry, total synthesis and materials science, a general, selective, and step-efficient synthesis of amines is still needed....

Enantioselective synthesis of α-aminosilanes by copper-catalyzed hydroamination of vinylsilanes.

The synthesis of α-aminosilanes by a highly enantio- and regioselective copper-catalyzed hydroamination of vinylsilanes is reported. The system employs Cu-DTBM-SEGPHOS as the catalyst, diethoxymethylsilane as the stoichiometric reductant, and O-benzoylhydroxylamines as the electrophilic nitrogen source. This hydroamination reaction is compatible with differentially substituted vinylsilanes, thu...

Base and copper(I) catalyzed Mannich, alkyne hydroamination cascades for the direct synthesis of 2-methylenepyrrolidines.

An efficient, simple-to-perform, one-pot reaction cascade to 2-methylenepyrrolidines from p-toluenesulfonyl protected imines and propargylated malonates under a combination of base and copper(I) catalysis is reported.

Hydroamination of terminal alkynes with secondary amines catalyzed by copper: regioselective access to amines.

A simple and convenient copper-catalyzed hydroamination of arylacetylenes with secondary amines has been performed giving a simple access to aliphatic amines after reduction of the hydroaminated products (E-enamines). Here we described a mild catalytic system utilizing CuCN precatalyst without any additive ligands in a solvent-free system.
